Student-Led Conferences
25/11/2025

On November 24–25, our school carried out another successful and meaningful educational initiative — Student-Led Conferences (SLC).
This project aimed to increase students’ academic responsibility, ensure greater parental involvement in their children's learning process, and strengthen communication within the school-student-parent triangle.
During the SLC sessions, students proudly and confidently welcomed their parents and delivered presentations based on their individual learning portfolios. Each presentation not only showcased academic results but also reflected the perseverance, effort, and continuous progress behind those achievements. Students openly shared their accomplishments, areas for improvement, strengths and weaknesses, and discussed their future goals with their parents.
This process developed not only public speaking skills, but also crucial life competencies such as self-awareness, critical thinking, a sense of responsibility, and self-confidence. Through this experience, students learned to take ownership of their learning, objectively assess their successes, and define their future goals more clearly.
For parents, this was a valuable opportunity to witness their children's daily school life, classroom engagement, and personal growth firsthand. They gained insights not only into the outcomes, but also into the effort behind those outcomes, their child’s mindset, and their vision for the future.
In conclusion, this initiative once again proved that education is not limited to teachers and textbooks — active student participation, taking charge of one’s own learning, and establishing open communication with parents are the foundations of successful and sustainable education.
